GX460 Secondary Air Intake Pump filter mod = The Uni-Mod (1 Viewer)

I noticed a few pepole talking about low cost but helpful mods for their GX460. Replacing the stock poorly made little foam filter in the Secondary Air Intake Pump, is in my opinion probably the best sub $20 mod you can do for your GX460. Key thing is replacing it BEFORE it falls apart and gets sucked into the pump, tossing a P2442 code.

Did you leave the cover (plastic housing) off once the new filter is on? I find it very tight where the “mushroom” was located, and now where the new filter is.

I had mine fail, and it is covered under an extended warranty as long as your mileage is under a certain amount. Luckily I bought mine used with very low mileage and was like 100k under their requirement, Lexus in Houston replaced mine for free.
