Hi all
Does any one recognise the thick bottom front leaf
I can’t find a reference or other pictures
Not sure if it has been added?
I got a front shackle bush set, springs and shocks from the tough dog factory on my way home from work today. I will begin installing on Saturday
I hope to go through the front end to cure the worn saggy suspension
I will put up progress pictures

Thanks

Looks like someone just added it as a spacer so that they wouldn't run out of threads on the U bolts. That piece isn't doing much to affect the spring rate or flex and doesn't change the ride height.

Looks like it's added to me. Only on one side? If so, might be anti-wrap spring similar to that on original Willys/MB/GPW jeeps.

Yes only towards the rear,
Has one both left and right side
Is a lot thicker than the other leaves.
Could you please explain the anti wrap function?
Thanks

Pretty sure it's OEM. My JDM HJ has them and it didn't appear to be modified. Likely intended to compensate for the extra weight of the diesel.

I had that funky leaf on the HJ61 springs that I put on my FJ62. I removed it from my spring pack.
