G'Day Fella's,

A couple of years after I purchased my BJ73 (1990, so lets say in 1993 ish), I made up a replacement rear bumper bar for it.
At the time, I incorporated rectangular holes in both outer ends of this bumper, to accept the tongue of a Hi-Lift Jack (HLJ). Since then (two or three ish years ago), I seen that several commercial "Hopper-Stopper" (Roo Bar/Bull Bar) manufacturers, have started to incorporate "Tee-Slots" in their bars.

So, in anticipation of getting my rear bumper powder coated some time soon, I got to thinking......
Here's some images, of what came out of this thinking.

To be continued.....

G'Day Again,

Here you can see the new replacement end plates, having the Tee-Slots machined in them.

Some time in the near future, I will remove the rear bumper, and use the "Hot Glue Gun", to stick these new end plates to it (prior to powder coating the whole thing).

I hope this helps, or gives you blokes some ideas, for new projects.

Hello,

Well done.

Those slots look sturdy. And away enough from the body.
