A 1993 Y60 will be headed my way in a few weeks. Just ordered the 6" Tough Dog lift for it.

Dang man you got me all excited about a pop top. I'm interested to see what you have up your sleeve and the final design will look like. Two I recently saved. I would guess you plan to maintain the existing wheel base.

No, the wheelbase/frame will be extended 22-24" and the frame will be off an 80. The old wheel well will become a storage box.

Doesn't TRAKKA make a pop top for the 60 already?

How a true tourer should be setup!

Now to decide if I want to go with:

Front coil and Rear coil
or
Front coil and Rear leaf

The canopy box with frame stretch will weigh approx. 650# empty. I figure the difference from stock to canopy weight will be 200# so 450# will be the added weight to the rig.

On a 3" to 6" lift Tough Dog coil all I can get is up to 1100# load rating without making a custom coil. On the leafs I can get up to a 1500# load rate and run a SOA rear set up yielding the 5-6" lift I'm looking for.

C x C leaves approx. 650# of gear and add ons, while the C X L leaves approx. 1050#
