I am in need of a new camshaft for my 1968 F145 motor. I recently purchased one and the oil holes were drilled on the third journal in from the front of the motor. My original camshaft has the holes drilled on the second journal allowing oil to be sent up through a filler tube to my rockers on top of the head. The vendor originally told me that it would not be a problem to use this camshaft. After I challenged them a few times they realized that their information was inaccurate. Does anyone know of a reputable company where I can purchase just a camshaft? I already have new lifters and new bearings have already pressed in place. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's hard for me to remember stuff from 30-40 years ago, but I do somewhat remember visiting the "wrong hole in Cam" subject many moons ago. Not dead sure, but sure seems like just drilling an oiling hole in the correct spot solved the problem, and the extra hole then was not a problem???
