Hello All!!

Great site, thanks! First post!

I recently bought a 1991 Toyota Land cruiser Prado EX5 with the 2L-TE engine.

Since purchased I did an oil change and changed the air filter

It ran OK for about a week then started leaking coolant fluid from the bottom of the part attached on the ** Passenger side (its a right hand drive) of the engine...I cannot figure out what is leaking and what the part is...My best guess is its a gasket that's leaking...

Any ideas on what it is and how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

You may have a Prado but it is a 70 series. We call that the left hand side of the car/engine. With so many LH and RH vehicles, passenger/driver side is confusing.
Looks like the injection pump, but post a bigger pic in the diesel section. Lots of 2LT II nuts there.
Clean it all down and watch where the leak comes from.

Sorry about taking so long to reply, I ran out of time so I ended up just taking it in to a shop. Hopefully they can figure it out; I have very limited mechanical knowledge and even less tools.

Thanks for info on it being a 70 series, it's pretty confusing trying to figure out which which one I had.

Edit: You were right! Shop just called, it's the fuel injector pump leaking

Introduce yourself on the 70 series forum. There should be an aluminium plate on the firewall giving model engine gearbox info and more
