VSS needed for LS 6.0 to SM465 (1 Viewer)

As I push ahead though my engine swap I wonder about terms or details I’ve read about.

When I finally get my 6.0 into my 40 with the 465 will I need to use a VSS or some electrical sensor at my tcase rear output for the engine to run correctly?

Not yet, but I did see there site. I wondering if there is a way to add a VSS and still retain the stock gear drive speedometer hardware so I can keep my stock 40 Speedo and support the new engine.

I am using a similar set up for my tbi conversion. This gets me a VSS signal for the computer and I still have a cable speedo.

Dont know exactly everything they would use to adapt but you can change the inner cable of your speedo cable to the square tang drive.

Dakota Digital seems to have what I’m looking for and pointed me to another couple of places that can make new conversion speedo cables.
