Awesome, here is a sample of the trucks I saw a year ago:

Where did you travel in Vic?

Spent a couple days in Melbourne, really enjoyed the Fitzroy area. Then we rented a car and did a 3 day GOR adventure and stayed in Apollo Bay and Warrnambool but we drove as far as Port Fairy. On the way back to Melbourne we took an inland route through the countryside. This was just part of a larger 4 week vacation where we also spent time in Malaysia and Singapore. Some of the other highlights for us were the fairy penguins at St. Kilda, wild koala at Kennett River and seeing wild emu and wallaby at Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve. Definitely going to make it back there again some day, I'm craving the Boreks we ate at Queen Victoria Market.

I got a chance to go to Dubai and was amazed by the number of white Land Cruiser in many forms-- v6, V8, Prado, gx, etc. We even took the land cruiser off road to get to the Dune Buggy riding. The land cruiser is definitely vehicle of choice for off road and on road Dubai.

Very true, again though, they don't have the variety that Oz has. Cruisers came to this part of the world during the Snowy Hydro scheme in the 50s and never stopped arriving. Dubai was a desert strip even 20 years ago so there are very few 50s, 60s, 80s etc.

Cool thread thanks for sharing  looks like a place I'd sure like to visit. I have a cousin that was over there on business and he knew what a land cruiser fan I am and sent back pics every day of the LC's he was seeing. I keep trying to convert him over from those darn Land Rovers.

Just back from Tasmania , fly fishing for a week. Heavily modded Land Cruisers everywhere! I don't need a snorkel but hell they look cool!
