I've been going to pull my rack off to replace the wood flooring and was wondering what you guys thought about replacing the wood with some of that expanded steel instead...?? Is that stuff a lot heavier than plywood?
I don't think it'll be bad depending on what thickness you get. Heck I think I've even seen expanded aluminum but I believe it is pretty flimsy. You could also get some sort of thick mesh rollout fencing to fit too I bet.
Where's a place I could go and look for stuff like that? I thought about the wire mesh roll stuff too but that might require more cross members for strength. ??

About 5'6" long by 5' wide.
If you get the right suze it works great for tie down straps and bungee hooks. Just get the stuff that is rolled flat, unless you want traction.
