MUDShip Broke Dwn I-40 Weatherford, OK to DC/WV tow/haul/help? (1 Viewer)

My brother is traveling I-40 from just outside of Oklahoma City, OK to Harpers Ferry, WV. His 2004 Silverado 1500 just broke down, transfer case and Rear Differential issues. Looking for towing, shipping or any help. The truck is a 2004 Silverado 4x4 extended cab 8ft bed, so it makes all of the uhaul options impossible. I've looked up quotes on uShip.com the cheapest being $1700.

He had a shop in Albuquerque replace the Transfercase NP241 floor shift, and it only made it to Weatherford, OK (Just outside of OKC). Along with this, the Differential managed to go out. I have found a few parts on local Craigslist, but with no way to get to those locations to try to swap a rear and a Xfer-case.

Get a 16' truck and car dolly, pull the rear drive shaft and roll, as long as it fits on the dolly. Tell the rental office you are towing a Honda Accord. No way I would rent out to a full size truck but an Accord all day long.
