Love the rack, and once my lift/suspension is done count on getting an order from me as well. Have to see how tall it gets and make sure it’ll fit in the shed.
On a side note, what are those wheels on the white 80 in the first pics on this thread? Really digging them...

My 80 has a 4" lift and 35's and clears my 7' garage door opening easily

The wheels are fj Cruiser 16" with an 1 1/2" spacer. powder coated matte grey in the wheel and matte graphite on the rings. Found them on CL for a net of $0 when I sold the tires off of them (wrong size for me). Lucky.

Haha! I love that size too. The ad wasn't well written and no picture, and I almost didn't call because it really didn't describe what they were. Needless to say, I'm glad I called on them.

Yeah. It's not too bad. Weather's pretty nice. Naughty Oaks makes pretty good beer. Kay's does a great breakfast that won't leave you hungry, and you can't forget Doc Bernsteins for ice cream.

Yes indeed. My first prototype is done, and we are making changes to the profile now for the next revision, also changing crossbar length, modifying latches. It looks really good and fit is good so far.

Those brackets are SLICK!

A buddy of mine has an fj Cruiser and I just turned him on to the Prinsu. Any plans to make this rack for the fj cruiser, or are you going to focus on "real" land cruisers?

Glad you found the thread. Thanks for the props. I would love to help with a roof rack.

On the fj Cruiser, I don't know at this point, but maybe. The idea for me has been Cruiser parts. I have a lot of stuff to try to develop and offer beyond roof racks, things for other Cruiser series. I am working on a 16" steelie wheel/Toyota hub cap solution for the 40, some 100 series body mod stuff, 60 series interior parts, and lots more for the 80. I am picking up my wife's new 4runner in a few days and it WILL get a Bowfin Cruisers roof rack because it has to represent (and carry a RTT), but beyond that, not sure. I'd go on to lots of other racks if I could keep the spirit on the Land Cruiser.

Mounted one today with a light bar. Under the sun visor is where we made the hole for the 2 wires. It hides nicely behind the rack's wind deflector.

That's my crusier, and if anyone is interested, here is the link to the light bar. I plugged it in before I gave it to John to mount and it was bright. I'll have to get some pics once I get the truck back.

Just a standard rubber grommet I had at the shop. Will have silicone through it for water protection as well.
