@overtonNote: Still looking for a reference to a chrome bumper and chrome bezel in the Options list. Was not able to find a reference anywhere on mud/internet. At minimum, pretty sure mine had chrome bezel (i sanded, prepped, and painted it to cygnus myself). Would love to see an example of one with chrome options for 78 or later. Anybody ?
@overton Amazing thread! This got me curious. So I contacted the original owner of my restored '78. I received the below folder, owners guide, and some registrations from the 90s. Unfortunately, didn't have the original window sticker. But dealer info and options were known, and since covid19 has given me some extra time...dusted off my design chops and took a stab at mocking up my own window sticker. See below. Thoughts? Not original, but neat to reproduce a historical document etc.

Looks great! I tried a while back to do the same. Was never able to find a good FEA energy star logo. Would like to have your file to edit. Nonetheless, great work.@overtonBut dealer info and options were known, and since covid19 has given me some extra time...dusted off my design chops and took a stab at mocking up my own window sticker. Do they make reproduction window stickers manuals etc.? Might be cool for display purposesLooks great! I tried a while back to do the same. Was never able to find a good FEA energy star logo. Would like to have your file to edit. Nonetheless, great work.
I remember seeing that Toyota will reprint window stickers for any that are ~1990 or after. For any that are pre 1990 (FJ40, BJ40, FJ60, etc), you would need custom design. As of this week, I now have most of the templates. It takes time and would need to know your options. If you're interested in that, just PM me.Do they make reproduction window stickers manuals etc.? Thanks! It took me longer than I care to admit. I'm a generalist, not a design guru by trade. But I seem to have a solid template now. Expanded the templates to be able to incorporate some early model and late model window stickers.Looks great! I tried a while back to do the same. Was never able to find a good FEA energy star logo. Do you still own it, or parts of it?And so has anyone beat the $2810.00 I paid for a brand new FJ40 in 1970 ???

Seems like we have the same year and model. PM me your details and I'm more than happy to produce one for you as an early proof of concept.

No, that was my first Landcruiser, my baptism, and actually the start of Downey Off Road Mfg. I paid it off in 3 years, sold it, bought it back 3 years later, eventually re-sold it again to a guy who totaled it the week-end he bought it, and I got sued for zillions.Do you still own it, or parts of it?
Any chance you still have pics of the total or the broken parts you can share? No, their expert witness (engineer) testified the Landcruiser hit the mountain at less than 10 mph, police report said closer to 80 mph, my engineer proved that impact had to be a minimum of 52.9 mph (based on parts that broke, we had parts laboratory tested when designed, we knew what it would take to break them)
Soooooo my insurance company ended up giving them a $15,000 donation, I objected, but insurance company called it "good will:.
