Don't want to be a downer fj4013 but the short time it takes to blacken your oil and the amount of oil burning looks like piston rings.
Valve stem seals might help. You will have to use the "rope trick" or compressor to replace the seals.
If you want to remove the head to do the valve seals , I would do the rings as well.
Don't take this as gospel, It's just an opinion.
also Check the blowby out of the oil filler [block the pvc valve when testing] and compare it to a good engine if possible .

UPDATE: local shop who are FJ40 gurus found that the PO had setup the PCV valve incorrectly. Routed to the manifold to the wrong spot. The motor was taking the crankcase oil vapor and putting it into cylinders 5/6. The PCV was routed to right below the carb where the previous setup was blocked off. The port the PO used was for the brake master cylinder’s vacuum. They also did a compression check and it registered 150 psi across all 6 cylinders.

However, I am still burning oil and still smoking all over the place.

Anyone have any ideas?

Valve stem.seals are.cheap.and easy.. what do the plugs look like?

Run it for a while, see if it changes.

Then check the plugs. It should be apparent
