Love2fly started the 45 winter pictures a while back I and thought a fall thread might be cool as well. I was out with my son and the 45 a couple weeks ago. It was a very nice fall day and he took a few pictures . So I'll start it off with these. Taken out on Tabor Mountain, one of our local hills. I even got a little mud splashed on the old girl which I don't normally do!! But of course it was washed up the very next day.

I took Sampson out for another shake down run today. We put another 85 miles or so on him and finally put the odometer over the 1k mark. We stopped a couple of times for photo opps. The leaves haven't started turning colors hear in the south east yet. But it was still a great day for a drive with the windows down.

Our first stop was at the Trading Post at the foot of Grant man.

Our second stop was on top of Grant man at a scenic overlook. I believe that is Kennemere cove in the distance.

Sampson is looking darn fine. When the leaves start to change down there you'll have an excuse to take him out again for more pictures !!!

That truck of yours is sure in nice shape. Traveled the Oregon Coast last May. You've got some beautiful country down there!!

Well not much in the way of big trees as we were out hunting in the highlands but the bushes are turning color fast, beautiful day but no luck.

Thanks PG45er, yes it's not New England fall colors but still one of my favorite times to drive the 45.

Thanks @PG45er ! I drive him just about ever dry weekend. At the end of the month I'll drive him up to Chattanooga to visit family. Hopefully there will be some good photo ops on that trip.

Yep, so jealous!

Late one night in Aussie Land with the kids all off to sleep,
Some time upon his hands old Pauci took a sly bo-peep,
At his new and favourite thread on 'Mud [this one he'd clicked a heap],
The one with lots of pictures of some rigs near coloured leaves.

He opened up his laptop and he fired the old girl up,
With some whirs and clangs and chatters it was clear she was abuzz,
Internet Explorer first, then Google: type in 'Mud'.
And there of course in purple was a link to his favoured club.

He clicked that sucker fervently, and BAM his screen went black,
With rows and rows in yellow text of forums he could hack,
He scrolled down to the bottom - straight to the 45's,
And clicked that golden beauty with a twinkle in his eye.

He paid no mind to the Classifieds and the Stickies at the top,
Past Jack's KOH one [which we hope will never stop],
Past c2d's LV [which is coming along quite nice],
And past the Barn Find 45 - a build as slick as ice.

No the one he dove straight into was his favourite ever thread,
He even liked it more than cult's old thang [though let's face it - that thread is dead],
His mind raced at the very thought of a Northern Autumn day,
With forty series everywhere - and a smile crept 'cross his face.

With quivered hands he clicked and whilst the webs did build the page,
He waited oh so patiently for the treats that lie in wait,
And then that bad boy loaded and he scrolled and scrolled and scrolled,
[TBH this thread is pretty short so maybe he just scrolled].

His mind was filled with what could be! A pic?? Those coloured leaves!!
Maybe an old 40 on a mountain top surrounded by gold trees,
And when he hit the newest post his smile turned upside down,
There weren't no pics of Autumn nor a 45 around.

A simple word by bloody cult! That dastard foolish lad!
Agreeing with his thoughts on Fall! A bum steer post! Not rad!

He slammed his laptop lid right down and tossed it out the door,
It scared the cat and missed the dog and shattered 'gainst the floor,
And now old Pauci has no pics, no pics you see at all.
No pics you see, no pics at all of 45's in Fall.
