I am embarking along the LONG journey of restoring my grandfather's 1987 2WD 4 spd Toyota Pickup.

First step: a very good cleaning

I'm new to forums in general and certainly new to the restoration/ modification world (the most "restoration" work I've ever done on a vehicle is removing a headliner and replacing a door handle). I'd appreciate all the sage advice I can get!

Former DD before getting the 93 TLC. Now will be a restoration project to fix the leaking headliner, windshield, lack of power, exhaust, door panels, frame/body/paint, etc.

1986 4runner DLX - baselining now. 270k on the truck, 20k miles on new head, new exhaust from manifold back, new shocks, rebuilt auto trans, rebuilt axles and front diff, og paint - no dings, fresh brake pads, no dents, but needs a windshield and basically an entire tan interior, which seems impossible to find compared to gray?

If you wanna sell the blue one let me know...Sweet trucks.

Long time reader and just now signed up. I need to take some pics of my truck to post. My truck is a 90 sr5 that I have been driving for 14 years. She goes anywhere and has no quit. We have made many memories in it and plan on many more since we are about to retire it to full time trail rig. Nothing runs like a yota
