Selling my 1990 Toyota Land Cruiser (HZJ73). Clean and clear California title in hand. If you are familiar with these trucks you know how difficult it is to get them registered in California. This truck is smog exempt, so it will never need a smog check.
The truck has 199,905km (123, 712 miles) on it when I received it at my house. It now has 205,594km (127,750 miles) on it. I purchased this Land Cruiser in March 2015 from Steve Jackson at LandCruisersDirect.com. The truck was legally imported from Japan and is a Right-Hand Drive truck. It has a 4.2L 1HZ Diesel engine to which I fitted a Safari Turbo kit. It has an A440F automatic transmission. The truck has electric windows and door locks. It has air conditioning as well. This is a 27-year-old vehicle, so it’s not perfect, but it is very clean for its age. There is a small rust spot forming under the passenger’s door. It is about the size of a silver dollar. This truck has been my project for the last 18 months. I have spent hundreds of hours refreshing the sub system under the hood and the entire drivetrain. I have invested $16k+ in parts alone(not including labor) into this truck. I would not hesitate to drive it from San Francisco to New York and back and not worry about anything. This truck is solid and runs great.
Along the way, I have added a number of upgrades, such as the Safari Turbo kit, Wholesale automatics valve body, ISSPro gauges, Old Man Emu lift kit, new tires and wheels, Pioneer AVIC head unit with handsfree calling and backup camera, 4 Pioneer speakers, Pioneer amp, BMW seats, front and rear 4x4 labs bumpers, custom rock sliders and the list goes on….
I only used Factory Toyota Parts where available. Most of the work was performed within the last 12 months. I have driven this truck less than 5k miles and it has been flawless. I love this truck, but I found a new project and this one needs to go to make room for the new project.
I have an excel spreadsheet with all the parts, date of install, mileage and cost. I have all the receipts for the build as well. Asking price is $30k. PM me directly if interested.
