Hey guys, this is my thing:

I have a 2007 FZJ80 (From Venezuela) and it doesn't have the OBD-II connector

Can it be added? From what I understand, it has 4 contacts (2, 4, 5 and 16)

Would it be as easy as adding those 4 connectors? Where is that wiring going?

What do you think?

Thanks in advance

Desert Dino, in 2008 the Last 80-Series vehicle was built in Venezuela which was the only country producing the vehicles after production ended in Japan in 1997. The sad thing about production stopping almost 10 years ago, Most manufactures support vehicles with replacement parts for 10 years after production ends. Now that were coming up on that 10 year mark, were going to see more factory parts become NLA.

Diesel or Gas?

This is what my '95 EWD indicates

So I'd think so. You'll need the 2007 EWD to find the other end of the J2 and J8 connectors, but they appear to be grounds.

We would like to see photos of the 2007 80 series before any tech info can be provided.

My understanding is; they are not OBD2, it's more than a connector.

x2; you'd need the sensors, and the ECU has to have the fault logic flashed on it.

Question, what's the reason your wanting to add a OBD2 connector to your truck?

Yep, it's the ECU that's the sticking point, as something has to gather, analyze and hold the codes. I suspect the sensors may already be in place.

I see it as a useful option

I know there are other ways to read the error codes but I don't understand them as I should
