I have a 1995 toyota hiace super custom with a 1kzte that I brought not running, the previous owner tryed to take the injector pump off but didn't quite get there. I have since put most of it back together and got it running, after finding the problem to be the timing control solenoid shorted out. So it now has a second hand timing solenoid and a suction control valve and is running... kind of. It idles ok but as soon as you touch the throttle there is a loud knocking noise coming from the top end, and quite a bit of smoke coming out the back. Im lucky enough to have a oscilloscope at work, so I checked out the suction control, timing control and the pump rpm signals to a good running van we had at work and they matched up perfectly, so I think we can rule out the ecu.
Does anyone have any ideas that might help me out? I'm not to familia with the pump setup so any help will be appreciated.
