I've been struggling to install the power steering pump pulley. The FSM doesn't have any helpful instructions nor does Chilton or Haynes. It wouldn't be too difficult if you could assemble the pulley with the pump out of the engine compartment but once you put the pulley on you are then unable to put the bolt through the bracket. So it appears the pulley needs to be assembled with the pump installed so I'm wondering if you need a special installation tool? I've tried heating the pulley and forcing it on but it is a very tight fit and awkward angle. Even tapping it on with a rubber mallet would be a little tricky with the space constraints and lining up the woodruff key and all. If I end up tapping it on with a mallet will hurt compromise the life of the pump? If anyone has done this before please let me know your technique. Thanks in advance.
