Then welded the body mount back over the top, got to do the same on the other side.

Happy with the new welder, but will cut a bit further on the other side to get cleaner metal. Was a bit thin in a few places.

More work on my roof and bezel, finished sanding and shot etch primer again. Then shot sandable primer to fill a few pinholes are imperfections in. The roof is not perfect as it's got a crease/fold 2/3 along the front. But it gives it character and I am not aiming for perfection, got rid of all the other demts/dings and repaired the gutter.

Letting it dry at the moment while I am out, will do a light sand again before seam sealing the edge and shooting top coat cream/white on both.

Shot top coat on the bezel and underside of the roof, really happy how it went. Did waste a bit of paint doing under the headliner but still practice.

Will let it all dry overnight and flip the roof over after work. Will do the topside and give the bezel another coat or two as I know I will get stone chips.

Bit annoyed at the moment after going so well over the weekend with paint endef up with a roof of orange peel. Rounded edges and gutter is ok but lots on the flat.

Will have to wet sand it it and give it another coat, got just enough paint for that. Think I sprayed a bit thicker on the top which is the issue.

Probably being a bit picky but I am happy with it being all one colour again. Floorpans have turned up in nz so should get them Wednesday or Thursday.

Floor pans turned up, happy with the big passandgers side from cool cruisers, cut out the bit I needed and made it fit, will have to do a few extra bits on the edge as it did not come over as far as I thought.

Not happy with the cruiser corps drivers side, seems warped from pressing and it comes into the tunnel too much (10mm) and does not line up properly.

Will have to see what I can do with that one.

Has been a bit of a lack of motivation on my part for the last few week's but got back into it today. Passandgers side floorpan is about 90% done, few welds to go along with tidying up.

Drivers is about 60% there, everything fabbed up just got to finish welding.

Had to take the body mount off, like I did on the other side. Fixed the rust in the bottom of the a pillar along with the floor section on top of the body mount.

Hope to get it all done tomorrow and get some more primer on the tub but that might have to be one evening. Just going to work on the tub and get it straight and painted. Then can build from there.

No more progress on the 45, tub is still sitting in the garage and the chassis outside. Just lacking time and motivation at the moment.

House should be ready next month, they are just painting at the moment so hopefully no delays. Planning out my garage, 6x6m which will be the biggest space I have had to myself yet. Started on a welding table today, will be a wooden bench both sides but this shoukd stop me setting fire to things when welding.

Going to be a mission to move all of my tools, parts and truck over. New place is about 20mins away.

Truck is on hold till I move, been running around sorting furniture and bits before I move in.

Garage is 6m x 6m which is the largest work space I have had to myself. Finished the new workbench, trying to set things out right from the start.

Front driveway is pored and will be sealed shortly. Planning on painting the garage floor before laying things out.

Moved, finally and did some work on my truck after setting up. Truck fits with about 850mm to the back wall and clearance under the door.

20171020_181300.jpg

Finished the passandgers side floor pan and primed again with my mini spray gun. Currently got this week off so trying go get more done.

20171031_213839.jpg

Decided to weld up a few PO holes in the dash, will require a bit of filler to get rid of the grinder scratches.

20171031_213844.jpg

Will be working on the other side todaybut need to take the cab off again to finish and paint the underside.

Decided I was sick of welding this morning so decided for some paint instead. Bit of prep on a few panels which most of the work had been done before.

20171101_131436.jpg

Few surface rust marks on the bottom of the windscreen, got rid of most of them with bit if putty and filler primer.

20171101_132802.jpg

The blue looks good, ended up doing the front panel, windscreen, hinges, defroster screen things and the kickflaps.

Happy how they came out considering I did it in the garage. Used my small spray gun so not as much overspray. Back to welding tomorrow.

Finished welding my floorpans and firewall up, took a while but happy with the results.

20171104_162125.jpg

Fixed my previous hackery with the heater with a few bits out of another rotten truck.

20171104_160706.jpg

Shot more primer before rolling a few coats of black on the bottom.

20171104_195530.jpg

Painted under the dash while the tub was upright, better than trying to do it when the tub is back flat.

20171104_211005.jpg

Tonight I painted on thicker body deadener on the underside to finish off. Previous owner did it before I bought the truck and I think it stoped the truck rusting in a lot of places.

20171106_205232.jpg

Making good progress, going to flip the tub and start sorting it for full paint.

Good amount of progress today, Bit of bodywork/cleaning before seam sealing, primer filler and some more top coat.

20171111_123514.jpg

Painted inside the tub and the back panel will finish the bodywork tomorrow hopefully and might get the tub done by next weekend.

20171111_205029.jpg

Need to work on the back panel as when thats done the windscreen and roof can go back on the tub.

Placed an order from overland metric for new nuts and bolts, stainless for the outside plus a selection of plated one for the inside. Should look good.

Looks ace. Very jealous of the house/garage/work area. If you can, keep the stainless and bodywork separated with a rubber or plastic washer.

Painted the floor this morning while my flatmates are still in bed as I knew it would be a quite job with a roller. Two coats on top of a few layers on primer. Used the same stuff the first time a did the floor and it held up well.

20171112_135245.jpg

Decided to shoot some more blue as I had the time and was Keen to. Found some parts that didn't need prep work along with masking off the firewall so no overspray reached the inside floor.

20171112_172649.jpg

Came up ok, not as nice as the back but it's only the firewall and is probably going to be covered up with soundproofing anyway.

20171112_165526.jpg

This is after 2 coats, will be doing a 3rd and 4th. Got a mate moving up from Christchurch at the weekend, he is a cruiser nut too and is bringing his HJ45. Should make good progress in the next few weeks, trying to finish before Christmas.
