Managed to get the truck out in the wild (wild for NYC). Went to check out a friend's houseboat at the marina then we found a crazy access road in the Rockaways that actually had some mud and rock piles - didn't get any decent pics other a nice one across Jamaica Bay (that's JFK airport in the distance).


Before heading out I had to wrestle my truck away from its new crush..

Friend's houseboat has seen better days, it sank a few months ago, but he's rebuilding it

Got her smog checked (took 3 tries, OBD II wasn't talking to the machine WTF?).

Went snowboarding.

Now I need to wash it, the last couple of weekends got it pretty muddy.

Attempted my weekend and got sick Sat. Spotted this guys on the way home.

Felt good Sunday morning so tried again and had success. Met a non mud member cruiser in the woods while searching a camp sight and shot some rifles with him. He later showed me a cool spot and that's where I ended up camping. Did a lot of forest roads and cleared about 10 trees from one using my winch and small hatchet for the smaller stuff.

People are speculating on the price. It's all over the insanity spectrum. Nothing official yet, that I know of anyway.
Till I see some official pricing point on it, I will refuse to quote others as far as the price is concerned.

Didn't have much time to work on any of my 80s this weekend. Did some fishing then built some flower boxes for the missus.

But I did get one of my 91-92 manual seats installed in my 93. I took some preliminary measurements and they sit at least 1.5" lower than the leather power seats. This is even with new foam on the manual seats. They also slide back at least 1.5" further than the power seats. I didn't take a before pic but you can kind of get an idea based on the Wits End Fire Extinguisher Mount.

I think I need to order the locking kid now...

And I figured out what I'm going to do to mount my seat belt receiver. I'll post up pics in the next day when I have it done.

I highly recommend switching to cloth manual seats. They are so much more comfortable than the power leather seats. I can't wait to do the driver seat tomorrow night!

95% done with my Puma Air and power project in the back. I needed to have the ability to remove the compressor so I can still use the third row, and I wanted access to the door where I installed the electrical. I welded on to the top of a seat bracket from a junkyard find. I also use a threaded knob in place of one of the bolts for the wheel well bracket to keep it stable. Connection via an Anderson connector allows me to connect other electrical items I may not have mounted but that may need some real power.

I got bored and needed a way to carry a spare outside for a trip this weekend. So... 1/4 plate and three wheel stud later, the dirt bike rack is also a tire carrier. ..not real practical, I know. I'll build a swing out soon.
