I think Aqualu makes widened "FJ40" parts to fit an 80 chassis.

At one point in the past, Paul Pilgrim (yes, him) widened an FJ40 by cutting it in half lengthwise first and then added the middle section. It did not have a Hummer-style roof, however.

There should be an interesting story behind the development of this one pictured.

Enough of us are curious--have your Canadian friend dash up that driveway and snap a bunch of photos--side and rear, interior, and then run back to his car before the owner charges out of his house with a shotgun ! Or maybe he's an okay guy and wants to chat. Inquiring minds want to know.

I have already asked him to do that. I will talk with him tomorrow to see if he has made any progress. I have yet to meet an angry or belligerent Canadian so I'm sure he will get some information. I will add it to this thread as soon as I get any more information.
