Haha. Thanks buddy. I also had green in mind for my truck. We shall see.Thank you.
Rust repairing is damn time consuming if done right but will pay off. Rust is what kills these things.
Good luck!
Can't go wrong with army green. Keep us posted.Haha. Thanks buddy. I also had green in mind for my truck. We shall see.
Yup, every nut and bolt has been tightened now. Forgot to check the breather, thanks for a reminder! You should check your front axle vent to be sure it's clear, since your knuckles are leaking so badly. Oh yeah, and tighten every bolt under your truck
Old fan clutch was stiff and hard to turn over by hand. I suspect it was OEM as the mounting flange had little blue color left from factory. How did you diagnose the fan clutch Hojo? I suspect I have the same issue, my engine sits a bit too cold as well. I have a coolant flush and thermostat change planned, but suspect that won't be the issue.
Concerning your loose hub bolts: I just did a knuckle rebuild and learned 2 things: start by retorquing the hub studs, good chance at least a few will be a little loose. Reuse the cone washers, but change the spring washers. Mine looked fine, but when torquing to spec (~31Nm if I remember correctly) some of them simply squeezed open around the bolts.
A curten behind the frontseats and a rollo for the radiator helps.n colder days (-15c or colder) i wish i had more heat in cab
Oh, those things are real useful, but can be pricey. And it would have to be 24V, so, might be a little hard to come by if looking for a cheap unit. My parents Mercedes has Webasto and it is very useful.-15°C, that's a bit colder than the average Belgian is used to. If I had to deal with those kinds of temps regularly, I'd be installing a Webasto or Eberspacher as we speak.
Check out eBay Germany, you can find them quite cheap from time to time. I'd probably go for an easy to rebuild, older Eberspacher, the kind you find in eighties military vehicles. Very little electronics and robust build.
