I'm going to do some kind of write up on the run today, but to do it justice I need some help. My paper, the Tahoe World, publishes every Wednesday in North Tahoe and Truckee. I'm looking for shots that help tell the story of the day.
The resolution needs to be a minimum of 200 dpi, and make sure they're at least 6-8 inches wide. That will help them reproduce in print just fine.
Now, I don't have the budget to offer any compensation, but I do offer the opportunity to get printed in a publication that circulates 20,000 copies. You maintain the copyright to your photos, but submitting them to the Tahoe World is consent to publish in print and online at www.tahoe-world.com.
If you want to submit video clips as well, we can give you credit on the web site, and can promote that in our print edition. Same copyright/consent guidelines still apply.
Those who submit photos/video will either get free Tahoe World swag around May/June, or I buy the beer next time we meet up, your choice.
Please e-mail any photos/video to me at ksheffield@tahoe-world.com by no later than Monday, March 17 at noon. Please give your name, town of residence, and contact info. Your contact info won't be printed.
