Almost lasted a year this time. Emailed autobeyours.com and they will not work on them anymore. Has any one found a good refurbished source for this overpriced ($4,000) OEM only part?

I bet you will see a high rate of failure as they get some more miles and age.
Come on, did they have to make everything work thru the touch screen?
Problem is back 90 days later........... and it looks like the MFD problems are not isolated to just 04 models as its been reported in later years.
Might be time for me to sell?
Thats not good at all sounds like the STD PITA MFD problem. Originally it seemed that the 04 was the only year involved but now I cant help but wonder if it was the 04-07?
I have an 04 with 100K miles with the same problem....twice. 3 months ago it showed up for the first time so I sent it into autobeyours.com. Everything was fine for 3 months now its back again. They said they will cover it under the 90 day warranty but its a PITA to pull and the truck cant be...
Fixed so far.....knocking on wood...crossing fingers. Autobeyours.com is the repair company I used and they did a good job. I went with them because they were cheaper compared to Mr. Whizard Technical Services - Instrument Cluster Repair, Speedometer Repair, Odometer Repair and Digital Dash...
I sent mine into autobeyours.com $325 was the quoted price and sounds like they have fixed quite a few LC and Prius MFD's. I will post back with the results. I think contacting Denso is a waiste of time, like calling GE direct for a part for your dishwasher.

Yep..... Most Toyota a/c parts seem pretty bullet proof, excpet for the lines that give into the elements.
