Thanks for the input, I’ll start checking the lines in the back. I checked that little white valve near the separator but it flows both ways.

Well, I pulled every electrical connection for the 4wd system apart one by one. I found that my transfer L4 position switch had worn wires that were arcing. I pulled it apart and fixed it and my problem seems to have gone away. As soon as i pulled the wires apart I heard the vsv engage...

Oops, sorry. Using GM 4l60 to the advance adapters kit. Using factory split case.

Correct, A440f to the Advance adapter. I do not have the neutral safety switch hooked up and am thinking that may be the culprit. I will hit the FSM and see if I can trace it.
