If I was to buy again, I would look for a GX470 with no navigation and perhaps no KDSS (makes buying many parts much easier and their is more non-KDSS armor parts out there).

Thank you for your reply. It is the KDSS that is the problem, and while I thought I read every product description carefully, apparently part of this is my fault because 2/4 of the products say not KDSS compatible in the product description.

Just my 2 cents: I have a USA Spec BT-45 Toy in my 2004 GX470 and it works flawlessly I have a Grom Vline2 in my 2008 GS 350 and it's so buggy... crashes often...all I want to do is rUn Waze and Pandora....I emailed tech support and am waiting on their response. I still might send it back...

I recommend blue driver or similar OBD2 scanner to check for codes/erased codes and a digital paint thickness meter. Then, if it passes all that plus my visual inspection then I pay a mechanic 120 bucks to make sure. Several GX I looked at had the emission codes erased and my scanner caught that.

GX470 Agree with Homer. All I'm missing is a 2010+, 8.2, 3.73 FJ complete rear axle with OEM e locker. Plus the GX470 is helpful in my experience in getting the GF to join in the adventure because she is not down with Army style Spartan camping. I guess she influenced me to get the GX...

I have a 2004 GX470 with KDSS. I have a 3 inch Dobinson lift and it is my understanding that 3 inch lift is the maximum you can go with KDSS, but that is all I want amyway. As previous posters have said, make sure sliders and armor is KDSS compatible.
