FWIW I tow a 4500lb boat with my '99 and she does great. I've towed the boat from Tampa to Michigan and back, all over Florida and she tows fine. I get about 9mpg towing 65mph with 285's. Overdrive turned off.

I pulled the coolant hose off the throttle body and used this as an air escape when I refilled after my waterpump job. I had to add very little additional coolant after a couple of heat cycles.

My 1999 does the same thing. Once in a while the A/C button will work, but it's rare. I've been living with it for 4 years. A fix would be cool.

My 1999 tows a 4500lb boat/motor/trailer very well on the highway as well as around town. I think the 100 could tow 6500 around town fine, the highway might be a different story.

That white trim looks sweet. I have a 99 also and I want to paint the trim white and then the bumpers a dark grey metallic. Like 80 series grey bumpers. Did you have that done at a body shop, did you have to take the cladding off of the truck?

The rear flaps have some of the self tapping screws you're looking for. Take one out to show the stealer. Also, I think the rear brackets will clue you into how the front work. The front flaps was my first "mod"
