Hi, I am repairing my break caliper. The cups/pistons have ceased due to rust. I pulled the cups out. The sides of the cups look ok with minimal pitting.
Someone advised me to sandpaper the internal bore of the caliper (where the cups/pistons sit) to remove any rust. Is this ok to do? and how...

I have just removed my Burfield joint due to clicking sound occurring during turning. The Burfield joint components do not show any sign of cracks but there is wear around the edges of the inner race. Does anyone think its ok to just repack with moly grease and reinstate into service...
thanks ozcrusier. How about the tie-end rod. It looks like its screwed in to the rod. Also i was advised that the drivers side tie-end rod is Left hand threaded. Please advise.
