Sounds like loose wire type wierdness to me. My rig is an '88 FJ62 so the wiring may be a little different but...
I'd start by pulling the wire that goes to the compressor clutch and checking with your volt meter. It should come on when the A/C button is in and the fan is on. When I was...
I believe there is a difference between R12 and R134a o-rings. R-12 is a bigger molecule and doesn't leak as easy. My A/C was just done yesterday and I had all new R134a hoses made up because of an engine swap. I replaced all o-rings with green ones except for two small #5 ones that nobody...
Ummm...I wouldn't use these o-rings in your a/c system. The o-rings for R134A are made of a special material and are typically green. I got mine at a local Napa. They were around a $1 each. R134A is evidently a very tiny molecule and will leak through some of the normal materials that are...
If your hubs are unlocked you should be ok to drive around even if the t-case is in 4wd. There are 3 switches on the t-case. Two of them are on the hi-low shift shaft and the other is on the 4wd shift shaft.
The one on the 4wd shift shaft turns the light on the dash on and off.
One of the...
Why do you have to change the condenser? I am in the process of getting mine hooked up for the first time since and engine conversion. I had custom hoses made yesterday. I had an A/C shop give me a quote on getting it going again and they were going to reuse the condenser.
I actually don't even have the compressor in the truck at this point. I am just trying to get the wiring ready. This morning I jumpered across the pressure switch wires and then turned on the A/C button...I got voltage on the clutch wire :D
This leads me to my next question...How does the...
Well this may be good news for me. It means they are still hooked up. I don't know if they are working though...seems like my compressor clutch wire should have come on when I pushed in the A/C button though ???. The clutch is controlled by the A/C amplifier...what are the conditions...
I am in the process of hooking up the A/C on my Vortec powered FJ62. I
think I located the A/C clutch wire but it doesn't come on when I turn on
the A/C button. I started looking at wiring diagrams and tracing wires and
I can't locate the connector for the pressure switch. Where is it...
I am looking for switches that screw into the FJ62 t-case. Two of them sense the position of the hi-low shift shaft and the 3rd senses the front drive shift shaft. Do you have these parts available?
I've got an ATF oil leak somewhere between my xmission and my t-case. I am currently running two adapters...both of which I got from AA. One (made by AA) changes the 6 bolt pattern on my 4L60E to a 4 bolt pattern similar to a 700R4. The other (made be Mark's) adapts the 700R4 to the FJ62...
I poked around and found this...

Fe2O3 = iron oxide = rust.
Man I have forgotten a lot. I was just looking thru my old chemistry book at oxidation-reduction reactions. This is how rust forms. I can't make heads or tails of it anymore >:(
There was a little blurb about electrolysis too.
+ is the Anode where oxidation...
