I came home to find my other two 55’s in the driveway.
It appears I bought a 1969; a 1971, and a 72. The 71 has a disc brake front under it????
One thing I was not aware of and is a little confusing, only the 72 has a transfer case lever. Are the others single speed transfer cases?
I figured I’d start a new thread from my Word of Advice thread. I’m calling it the Peer Pressure Pig because I don’t really know what I’m going to do with it or to it, but reading through the posts here and seeing he great pictures, I gave in and bought it.
I got he first pig delivered, a 1972...
It was so amazing to my heart to hear it fire up.
It only ran for 15 seconds before I shut it down. I did a quick check of the oil level. All was good.
I’ll gas it up tomorrow and see if I cam run it long enough to check it out.
Got home with a little energy today. Put the jumper cables on this this, a little gas down the carb and it fired right up.
I’m feeling better about this all the time
I got the towing quote to get all three to my house. I’ll be all in at just shy of $3000, purchase and delivery.
I’ll have pics tomorrow as the guy was not available today for me to go by.
One way or the other, they’re mine now......
I thought about fixing one for myself and passing on what’s left over.
I have very good mechanical abilities but I am not a body guy. After I get them home, I’ll have to be honest with myself on what I can actually hope to do if I do keep one.
I just knew from reading the members here, that I...
Well, the guy accepted my offer. I’ll go pay him tomorrow and maybe get some pics.
I am getting some prices to get them towed so hopefully I’ll have them here this weekend.
