I went to a local salvage yard and found 4 old scissor jacks from chevy trucks. Welded them on my trailer. Though you wouldn't have to permanently weld them on like I did.

Ya. If you've got fuel to burn off, boiling rocks works well. They don't get too got to damage anything, but hot enough to speed drying. I don't like heating the rocks on flame directly.

Mine is an Australian Shepard mix with a Chessie Bay retriever. Fully grown, she's 50lbs. She is 6 yrs old. Waterproof. Easy cleanup. Sheds. Very good with my kids. Protective, unless she get the "ok" from me regarding visitors in our yard.
