Try it at night with the hood open and a friend (neighbor) turning the key. Look for tiny blue sparks jumping around. If it's not moist out spray a mist of water on the plug wires while cranking in the dark.

I was shooting for 300,000 with mine (230,000 currently) but you set the bar a bit higher! Exhaust is next for my '91. This is the best vehicle I've ever owned.

My wheel bearings on the passenger side were bad and I could hear and feel them through the floor board. I also had grinding from the engine compartment which was hard to trace. I have a '91 so your engine would be different, but you probably still have idler pulleys guiding the serpentine belt...

Has anyone heard of, or tried, to weld a bead on the worn parts of a spindle (where the bearing rides) and then turn the spindle down on a metal lathe to get it back to spec? I'm having a hard time cracking my wallet for another $500 on this knuckle rebuild. Both spindles are worn on the bottom...

Have searched and can not get a good answer as to which way the rubber wiper on the back of the knuckle should face - ridge facing diff. or ridge facing spindle. Here's what I found: Removed both sides and paid close attention to original orientation. BOTH sides had ridge facing the Spindle...
