    LPG Removal

Anyone know how extensive the checks are for vehicles that had been converted to LPG and then had the conversion reversed are? Obviously, tanks and hoses are being removed but I’m told there will always be some signs of conversion - will this be a rejection at U.S. Import inspection?

    Voltage Converter. 1980 BJ40

A couple of weeks ago the Voltage Converter on my BJ40 starting heavily smoking. I’ve removed it for replacing and it was a New Era AVR-551. This is a Colombian rig so who knows what was done with it - but looking online this part does not look correct for my year/model…Question is : is there a...

    BJ40 Wiring harness replacement

I have a 1980 Colombian BJ40 that is in need of wiring work. I’d love the fuse box updated and removal of the converter from the engine side of the firewall. I know of painless (painful) and American Motor wiring solutions. Is there another one I should consider? I don’t have the...

    Hose Identification - Coolant Spray

Thanks the P.O. Bypassed the rear heat and vapored the t-fitting with was rubber cap. This seal broke and was the cause of the leak dripping coolant into the exhaust, making the experience all the more dramatic with smoke. Thank you all! #lovemud

    Hose Identification - Coolant Spray

Yep, I think you are right. The moisture on the inside of the hose was throwing me off but it probably just caught some of the spray. Will look for the leak tomorrow. Thank you!

    Hose Identification - Coolant Spray

It is pretty much lateral to manifold - attached to the firewall but looks to be in horrible shape and isn’t connected to anything. I’ll try to get a pic in the morning - it’s dark out here.

    Hose Identification - Coolant Spray

2 hours from home I got a substantial coolant leak going on. I am going to get it pressure tested tomorrow but identified a really poor condition hose that is mounted to the firewall on the passenger side of the the engine compartment. I’ll try to get pictures.

Near overheat and no hot air -Troubleshooting

I’m checking the PHH tomorrow. I replaced the therm today - after about 5 minutes heat returned to cabin and driving around didn’t have any issues. Thanks Mudders!

Near overheat and no hot air -Troubleshooting

I’m worried it’s the head. Overheated on the way home again after topping off the fluids. After letting it cool, there is still coolant in the rad and in the reserve. It drives fine - no sign of power loss but is heating up at a quickening pace and the blower still pushing cold. I did get it...

Near overheat and no hot air -Troubleshooting

Appreciate it - and I'll do this. Just to clarify I am just trying to identify and cross out all I can from my office garage (no tools, cardboard, or lighting) before determining whether I should try to make the commute home. Thanks!
