    Maint Req warning light

Greetings. I have an 07 FJ 4x4 that is new to me. Recently the Maint Req light started blinking after the engine is started. So I looked in the owners manual and it said that this means the oil needs changed. So I changed the oil (with Toyota motor oil and filter) and the light is still...

E-Locker Wiring Harness - Removable from Donor Vehicle?

Ok folks, here is the deal. Yea verily, I have used the search feature and read many threads regarding retrofitting e-locker axles under non-locked 80's. Here is my situation. I have a '97 unlocked 80 sitting in my driveway, right next to a locked '95 80. The '95 is a rusted out rolling heap...

New Spiral Cable - Still No Horn, Airbag or Cruise Control

Hi-ya guys. It's a '95 LC. I have a meter and test light. Could someone explain how to test the horn wire to see where the problem is? Since it's all these things, and I just replaced the sprial cable, this has to be a failed plug somewhere. Dang, I am no good with electrical grimlins.

New Spiral Cable - Still No Horn, Airbag or Cruise Control

A couple of months back my horn stopped working. I traced the problem to the steering wheel and then noticed that my airbag light was on. Damn. :bang: Some time later I discovered that my cruise control didn't work either. :bang: So I posted my symptoms up on the Mud board and was advised that...

    Birf Life Questions

Two days. Easy job but VERY messy. I mean really REALLY messy!! But easy, I followed Romers DIY thread on it and the FSM and it was a snap. I got my rebuild kit from JC outfitters for around $150. Swapping the birfs over was easy except putting them back on the axle shafts. Used the worm...

    my custom 97 lx 450

So what amps/subs are you running. And as an installer, what is your opinion of the Rockford Fosgate T2 speaker?

    Birf Life Questions

Look at the knuckle in front of the ABS sensor. There is a SQUARE PLUG that you clean off, unscrew and pump grease in through there. BTW, I just swapped my birfs (left to right and visa versa) with 235,000 on the odometer. Drivers side was clicking when everything was locked in. Much...

High End Audo System - Grade me on my plans

Have you looked at the Rockford Fosgate T2 line of subs? I have 12" T2 and let me tell you, it is THE most amazing speaker I have ever seen. Anywhere. The design and construction is just incredible. Built like a tank. Of course the thump and rumble, but I honestly believe that these...

    my custom 97 lx 450

What kind of speakers/amps you got in the back? I am partial to Rockford Fosgate T2 12's. They are built like tanks. I'm curious how many amps you're running and how you have your speakers wired. I would also like to see some clearer pictures of the custom work you did on the dash where you...

Front Axle Rebuild - Grrrrrrrrr! Hated it!

That is exactly what I had to do to get it to line up right. I would say to anyone having trouble with the passenger side lower trunion bearing cap to remove the TREs and the thing just seems to line right up.
