This is my currents set up for road and trail travel. HiLift and spare driveshaft are between the 2nd row and the tire, shovel on one side during the winter and all of the rest of my crap is in the box on top of the 37. Easy access to the Yankum Rope on the right. (I just talked the...

This is basically the same set up I have. Although the :princess: wants a drawer system and a sleeping/dog platform in the back. That means the spare will be going to back outside.

I've run most of these obstacles down there at Barnwell Mt. and there are some difficult stuff like this that my son Plant Man made me look like a novice. He is running 35" Goodyear MTR's and I've got 37" Pitbull Rockers. Oh yeah, he has open diffs. My extra clearance is great but his tires...

Plant Man taking some exact measurements to create his own spare tire carrier. This is the last time I used mine. After being a moron and getting it stuck right there I had the bright idea of having a friend push me with his 80 and it bent something. I moved it inside after that but it’s going...

    Won’t Stay in First Gear

Oh yeah, RoaringFork , I have no body lift. I had a ‘92 Toy truck that had a body lift and that screwed lots of stuff up. I don’t ever want one of those again.

That’s an easy fix if that’s what it is. I’ll give it some tweeting tonight on the way home see if I can get it any better. That is what feels like is going wrong.

It shifts based on my throttle position so it is from 2krpm to over 4krpm. It’s shifting correctly while in D. When in L it behaves exactly like it’s in D. Probably. RoaringFork, I read that Lcool article a few weeks ago and it’s a good write up. I did adjust the shift linkage so it was...

    Won’t Stay in First Gear

When shifting manually my 80 seems to not care that I’ve put it into first/L gear with the transmission shifter. (I am not having a problem with my xfer H&L) When driving in D it behaves completely normal. Problems: 1. Taking off with shift selector in L it drives in 1st just fine until it...

I love my Flowmasters, but, if you want quieter I have had a Dynomax that was quiet and free flowing on a mini truck that you might like.

I Need a Garage in Carbondale, Colorado

Thanks Noah. At least we can go wheelin at some point right? It’s our first time living on the Western Slope. I’ve seen some built 80’s around and a 4Runner or two. I can’t wait to get out on some Colorado trails again!

I Need a Garage in Carbondale, Colorado

I just need to borrow a space to do a front axle service myself. It could even be outside, I do not care, I just need somewhere to work on it. I moved here two weeks ago and my inner axle seal blew today. I also wouldn’t mind getting to know some others that go wheelin in the area. Thanks, Butch

    Strange engine noise

*FYI , Plantman is my son. That sudden change from a ticking sound to a disturbing knock occurred in Hanna, Wyoming. (No one else has heard of it either.) Within 30 minutes our friend Alan from Overland Rock & Rally was on his way from Idaho with a flatbed trailer behind his work truck to bring...
