The intermediate shaft, that connects the gear box to the steering column.

Looking for a 60 intermediate steering shaft. I have a 60 gear box and plan to mate to a 40 steering shaft.

When???? I sent you a check back in OCTOBER!! That was 3.5 months ago!!

Brandon owes me $60. I sent him a check back in Ocober for a steering shaft off a FJ60 he was supposedly parting out. Of course he never sent it AFTER HE CASHED MY CHECK. He said he would send soon, then never heard from him again. Then finally he contacted me after many emails and pm's...

I have a scout box, $100 + Ride.... jerry

So are the scout boxes just that much stronger than any of the other boxes used for these upgrades. So my guess is that it did not twist...I really like the additional brace. Had not thought of that.

Here is what I have come up with so far. My scout box will not clear the 26" rad so it has to mount farther back, and my orginal idea of the ford shock tower was no good becasue of the size of the scout box. Looks like the hoop tower will be the solution. Now I have a big decision to make...

The way I ended up mounting my radiator prohibits me from moving the box farther up the frame rail. It would have to be mounted 2" off the frame instead of the traditional 3/4 ". Just noway for the gear box to clear the 26" aluminum rad with just a 3/4" off set. I had a fellow mudder...

Cutting this shock tower made me cringe, but no other way to get Scout gear box to fit. These towers are stout and other than looking like crap I think it would still be strong enough. I had to cut out large area on upper end and smaller area for the right lower mounting tab hole. I can't...

Poser.....you mentioned the large washer....I'm not certain I got exactly the one that came off the ebrake ...if you look closely at the pic, you can see there is room for a larger diameter washer to fit behind the castle nut. May have put a washer that came off the out put of the front...
