I did my hood about 9 years ago- I used left over second skin and it worked great. No issues with it going soft or sagging from engine heat or my hood being flat black. I just cut out triangles and stuck it through the bracing where ever I could. Gives it a nice thunk closing it and quiets...

Doh- did oil change today.- dyno rotella 15-40. Finish up and realized I put on a synthetic Oil heavy duty oil filter. Any issue? I can change it if needed but if not a big deal then so be it. I change oil every 3-4 k. Thanks

My newish (15k) H55f was having a having a hard time shifting. Got some Royal Purple and did a fluid change. Expensive stuff but honestly it does make a real improvement in shifting. I'm impressed.

Three choices- Rebuild- lot $$$ not a lot of success from what I gathered. Replace- cruiserparts.net, mud classified etc- cheapest and easiest. But you don't know what your getting. Swap- some options like H55f -$$$ depends on your budget and how much you like and how long you want to keep...

I got it from Profitts crusiers- in the bargin bin. I think it was made by 4+ ? It can hold my wieght (200) bouncing on it with the arm open so I think it is good to go! I also had a 2 inch piece of 1/2 inch angle welded on the outside of each swingarm so the tire and basket can not swing open...
