Yeah, that shop said they wouldn't make those for me. I guess I'll keep hacking away at these bolts!

How do you "snap" the bolts?

I wouldn't say easy. I've tried extensions and the socket won't seat, and a couple of bolts are so rusted they are out no longer the same dimensions on the heads so sockets and wrenches don't fit perfectly. I've stripped one or 2 already. How do you "break" the bolts?

I'm not required to have emissions since I've surpassed 25 years, and I'm in Georgia. I honestly do not know how you get to the bolts on top with tools. I've gotten 3 of the bottom 4 so far, but that was a couple hours worth of work. The shop could have cut them out, but said the Magnaflows...

Hey Guys, My cats need to be replaced, or gutted, but I can't get them off my 94'. I just got it back from an exhaust shop yesterday who told me the Magnaflow 94004's I bought won't work, and they can't even get the old cats off due to the location of the bolts and the fact they are rusted...

None yet. It's to the point I can't drive it. I am waiting on the new cat coming tomorrow. With any luck that may fix/help my problem enough to at least drive it some.

What do you guys think of this possibly being related to a blocked Cat? The converter is likely original, so would have 235k miles on it and a blown HG would not have helped it's health. Can a blocked Cat cause these types of issues?
