    Lift modification

I have a toytec 3" adjustable lift. I want to get to 4" without purchasing a new kit. Can I add spacers to the existing setup safely and without new suspension hardware i.e. links, lines? I don't do any hardcore crawling mostly used as daily driver and occasional trail run. Any advice would be...

Best Dual battery setup for my 2012

I have tried searching but I'm not finding the answers I'm looking for. Tell me what your using for your dual battery setup. I want something decent/reliable but doesn't have to have all the bells and whistles. I have space behind the intake and in front. Behind looks best because there is only...

    Tire pressure moniter question

Yeah, that's the answer I thought i'd get. Up here in Washington the roads are terribly rutted so the truck has a hard time staying straight unless i'm in the passing lane. Seems to do better with less air.

    Tire pressure moniter question

I recently took the tire pressure down from 46 psi to 36 psi. It seems to help reduce travel on rutted highways. Problem is the sensor light won't go out after reset. Is this because factory setting is 46 psi? Is there a way to run this pressure and get the light to go out? Does system also...

What do real land cruiser owners think of the FJC?

I've owned an 80 and now my FJ. Not the same vehicle but I wouldn't want it that way. I lived out of my 80 for a short time. Not sure how comfortable the FJ would be under same circumstances. Both are incredibly capable off road but the FJ is way more at home on road. Both daily drivers so MPG...

    New to Portland Oregon

First off, welcome to the neighborhood! Central Oregon has a fantastic network of trails and destinations to conquer! Coastal range is a lot of fun too. There is a TLCA Cruiser group that is based in Tigard, Good group of folks. They put together a few group runs a year, lots of fun.

    Lift comparison

Very helpful, thank you. I've read a couple of reviews on the pro comp stuff and they all mention a very stiff ride. Also, a few have mentioned having to replace parts too soon. I definitely agree with "get what you pay for". Arb offers a light/medium load option as well. The only constant...

    Lift comparison

I'm going to be installing a lift on my FJ soon and was wondering what you think about a Pro comp lift compared to others. I used to own an 80 with an ARB 2.5 heavy set up and it did very nicely all around. The 80 was a bit heavier and I would like to avoid the $1000 price tag that comes with...

    Buying high-ish miles Cruiser

Ha, I'm definitely hoping so!!! I used to own an 80. I probably spent $25k on that thing over the 5 years that I had it. Sold it with 280k miles. Was my favorite vehicle ever and it treated me well but it was super expensive to upkeep. It was my daily which was a prob. I just got a 2012 FJ with...

    Buying high-ish miles Cruiser

Thank you brother, this is helpful stuff. I've read other threads and coupled with this info I think I'm pretty set. Now the trick is getting the one I want for the price I'm willing to pay. I live in the Portland Oregon area and the prices here seem to be on the above average side.

    Buying high-ish miles Cruiser

I'm looking to get in to an FJ. I've owned 4runners and built a really nice 80 as well. I've been out of the 4x4 loop for a while and I just can't deny myself any longer. I have been researching FJs for quite some time now. I have a couple of friends that own them and love them. I wanted to get...

    Mechanical differences between....

Helpful stuff, thanx. It pretty much confirms my thought that going with the 2010 or newer is the way to go. Disappointing because I really like the 2008 TTE, white/black trim, oh well. The 2011 TTE is my #1 choice.

    Mechanical differences between....

Model yrs 2007 to 2014. I haven't been around the site in a few yrs. Sold my 80 5yrs ago but am getting back in to an FJ. I've been researching for about 2yrs and have learned the basics about them but I'm curious as to the differences of mechanical components from the first year to the last...

    Thinkin of buying......

I am thinking of buying a 2003 tundra off of a buddy of mine. Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as expedition upgrades go: bumper, lift, etc.? Don't like the ARB sahara bumper. Is there another kind out there?

For Sale  94 FZJ80, Portland, OR.

Interior is in great shape except for the original leather on the seats. I have some really nice seat covers on the front and rear, looks good. 230,000K miles Paint on hood and roof is oxidized. Power steering leaks but its more of a nuisance than anything else. Truck runs and drives great...
