I have a set of used Rancho 2.5" springs. These are the softride springs and I always thought they rode pretty good. In fact I was real hesitant to jump up to the 4" springs but I finally did it, so these must go. I really don't want to mess with shipping these, so local is preferred. Located...
There is some good info here, too.

Personally, I would just stick with the 350. It may be 65 year old technology but it is very good reliable technology. That's why it was around for years. Sure , everybody wants an LS these days. Great platform with awesome technology :). But that adds a little more to your plate for things...
Go for it. However. like many have said, it might be a good idea to have a beater for a backup. My first "car" was a 58 Chevy Apache Stepside. I bought it when I was 15. I still own it and that was over 40 years ago. One thing I remember was people always said "I use to have one of those....wish...
I just put my new to me but used Skyjacker 4" springs on my rig. I haven't had it off the hoist yet, but with the rear springs installed and axle hanging, my springs measured 40-1/2" and 40-5/16". Just 3/16" difference. I didn't notice it before I installed them, but the longer one is on the...
I will stick to my original plan of finding a hump with a rusted out bottom, cut out a section big enough to cover my hole, fill the original holes and then make new holes for my shifters. Pretty simple really, just need to find someone that has a cover with a rusted out bottom. Thanks for your...
I am looking for a 4 speed trans cover hump for a 75 FJ40. I don't care if the bottom is all rusted out but the top section around the shifters needs to be unmolested. I am located in Eastern Washington. What do you all have out there. I need to patch the hole in my cover.
My plan was to find a cover that was rusted out in the usual places, cut the top section out, patch the existing holes and then make new holes. But then I saw what fjl40 had and I said I want that.:bounce:
I know what you mean. However, like I said, leave the shifter holes out of the equation (final end user makes holes to fit). Then get rough dimensions of the template needed. Sounds easier than it really is, but I don't think it would be that hard. Especially if I gave you dimensions of the...
