    Speedhut gauge criticism

I sent back my gauges to get a different shade of green and a brights indicator which is technically required to pass a saftey inspection in the state of Texas. Anywho. This new shade of green is much easier to see at night. I added a tachometer to complete the look and speedhut did the color...

    Fj60 h55f T-Case Slop

I guess finding a close enough shim with different torques is the way to go. I appreciate it!

    Fj60 h55f T-Case Slop

1984-Fj60 with H55f that came off of a BJ60, rebuilt the Transmission to give it the correct input shaft so it would fit in my 2F block. My split transfer-case has a vacuum powered 4WD switch. When I rebuilt the H55F I only bought a rebuild kit for the transmission and not the transfer-case...

To whom it may concern, to tune the carburetor we wanted to get the most precise readings possible with the lowest budget possible. I found hall effect sensors online for 50 cents each and made a diy tachometer that will give us a digital RPM count using an arduino. anyway heres a video walk...

    Speedhut gauge criticism

You can manually adjust the fuel sensor for the full and empty marks. however mine fills up and slowly goes down to the half full mark, after it reaches half a tank the needle quickly shoots down to the empty level disproportionately. I disengaged the low fuel warning light because every time i...

We got it! Machined manifolds and it fired right up,we De-smogged the engine too. All thats left is the usual steps. Warm valve adjustment, proper timing adjustment, and then re-tuneing the carb.

Welp. Found a minor issue with the new gasket aswell as a cracked intake :flush: @Noneya Bitness and I used a carpenters square to check the head for flatness and it had a little rocking to it. the intake is within the spec when it comes to warpage. I never aligned the intake and exhaust...

Not afraid of, just dreading that i missed an obvious error. i used a drywall square and a feeler guage to measure the warp in the manifold and all checked out to be within spec. The manifold gasket is new with even new studs. All torqued in the correct sequence... i hate to do a job twice ill...

We did a compression check today and the results were good. We solved the violent vacuum rattle, replaced the Emission control computer and got the fuel cutoff solenoid working properly. Vacuum is still around 5 mmhg max @ 10. Spraying starter fluid below the rear of the intake manifold made the...

The PO couldnt figure out how to get it to idle without the choke and let it sit under a tree for years. Its @Noneya Bitness truck now

Did a visual check on the intake manifold with it off, i didnt see any cracks. It was within spec accordong to the manual so i reinstalled it with a new gasket. Hopfully its all good and just needs a valve adjustment.
