So I epoxied a washer to solve the extra large mounting hole… still giving me issues. Took a video of what’s going on and was hoping for further insight. Thanks all for your help!!!

Totally clears it up! I’ve been scratching my head for a few days now! I think it may be due to needing adjustment, but after pulling the assembly, cleaning everything and reinstalling, I got a view of the geared part of the actuator and noticed it moved from being straight to kicking towards...
Here’s the photos. First is where it seems to have been double drilled. Second is the adjustment slot for the short lateral track. Than an obvious one. It’s a U.S. 96lx…. Guess I should have led with that
Edit: the last is a close up of the mounting bolt hole pointed out in photo one...
So there is a slots for that horizontal track that bolts to the interior of the door… which are actual slots. Sure don’t look similar to this. I feel like if it was, there wouldn’t be a defined point in the middle
Honestly one of the two previous owners did some really strange things to this truck… I always just assume it’s their fault (gives me someone to channel the frustration to)
Oooh… that’s a great idea! I’m more concerned with the constant kicking of wires/cables, and the notable outside temperature. Thanks a bunch (and it’s in the 80’s thread now too!)
A few weeks ago my driver side window started to get some play in it. Then a week later when I rolled it down fully, it would only back up ~1/4 in. Took a bit of messing with to get it back in line and rolled up. So, I broke into the door to find the culprit.
After removing the motor/linkage...
First off…. I had no idea where to put this. This seemed like the most relevant place.
So when I bought my 96 LX, the previous owner had stripped the carpet and padding due to (unbeknownst to him) a drain plug having fallen out and mud/water getting slung up under it. He didn’t do too great of...

Engine temp. I could be driving it for an hour and let it sit ten min… startup would still bring it back up to roughly the 2k mark (sometimes 1800, sometimes an even 2k). I checked vacuum lines and all seem to be in good shape, probably a a couple that could use a replacement which I’ll be doing...
Hey all!
As the title says, my engine hits higher than usual rpm’s on start. Doesn’t matter if it’s cold or not. On average it peaks around 2k-2200 for about one to two seconds then falls back down to the 600/800 range. My air intake hose (from MAF housing to throttle body) has a huge crack…...
It’s a 96 Lx. Not bulbs replaced since I bought it a few years back. A friend of mine suggest the same… something about there being too much/little resistance in one of the left blinker bulbs. But I’m there with you: electrical stuff is NOT my forte. The cruise shutoff isn’t that big of a deal...
