I made a bad choice. Think I ended up screwing the parking pawl, drivers side birf. Blew up my winch as well. Took us 6 hours to get it out of the hole and up the hill. Horrible time
I’m in Calgary too. On 35s with 4.88 and stock tcase gearing. You will be just fine, I’ve ran every trail around here including whipsaw and the Gearing is perfect t the way it is. Send me a pm maybe we can go wheeling
I’m 19 now. Got my 80 after high school. My first truck was a 1997 4runner (3rd Gen) and that’s what I recommend, cheap cheap cheap to maintain and put gas in it. Cruisers are a whole other story. Unless you’re a trust fund ofcourse.
But I agree with everyone else, 3 gen 4runner
The trip made me realize a few things. Catch cans on pcv and breather are going to be welcome addition, the slee 6” is tall for my liking so going to shrink to a dobinson 3” flexi and sliders would be a nice thing to have for sure.
Weird thing about these things is just when you think it’s...
Little update, birfs still click a little. Only with cdl on. Will most likely swap out to oem due to cost.
However here’s some photos of a 2000km wheeling/ adventure trip. Truck did great, fender flare was massacred, a fix is soon to come.
Silly jeeps always breaking. Blew up the u joint...
