I’m backtracking now - how did you get here?
i followed the TLCFAQ by RobRed to get it this far, plus oh-so-many hours reading through the Pablo write up and several others.
It is a brain buster for me! 😂
i may be in over my head.
The tlcfaq writeup you mention in the OP talks about...
@yuji here’s what I’m looking at. planning to drop a sub amp here and feed the factory sub for now, but as you can see there’s a lot of unconnected connections! clearly not finished but so far I haven’t blown anything up!
does this look right?
That’s what I’m dealing with now.
bypassing the amp is apparently not everyones go-to move lol
most everything is connected, still no power to the head unit. (Alpine ILX-007)
I’m digging back through all the write Ups now To see what I missed.
Waking up this thread again - @yuji what did you install? And id love to know, did you use a new connectlike some have done or did you just pull the factory wires you needed from the 22 pin connector and patch that way?
Follow-up question: seems like there’s a heads-up for us AHC guys that the usual aftermarket UCAs won’t have the right brackets to connect brake and AHC lines like OEM. Is that a problem?
After having done just the smallest amount of looking at the wheel - I see how ignorant of a question that was 🤦🏼♂️ thanks for not pointing that out! 😂
Thank you @Trunk Monkey !
Tires: Kuhmo MT LT285/75 R16
No lift, AHC still intact and functional
Im a good parts replacer, not so much a rebuild/refurb guy 😂 so that’s why I’d lean toward replacing CV axles at this point, especially if they have to come off to replace the UCAs
My recently acquired 2000 LX470 has about 326k on it. PO had put Kuhmo MT’s on it, I started noticing cupping and noise when driving. Took it to a local shop to check alignment and they told me UCAs needed replacing (along with a couple other things).
Coming from my experience with the ‘95 80...
Just got the news that I need to get the head gasket redone on my 2000 LX470.
Im not a millionaire but I do love my LX. Which is going to cost me less? Head gasket or used engine?
Thank you @Exiled - looks dope and I love the self-contained factor. I think that’s why I initially was interested anyway. Love the idea that you could back up to a view and just hang out.
Thanks for the reply!
Since I love hammocks and apparently FB and Instagram both know this, all I see lately are these ads for a receiver hitch-mounted hammock stand.
Can anybody help me find a legit outlet for these?
I’m a little hesitant to buy it from beautiful-area.Netflix.weScamYou. 😉
