The power lose is the biggest issue for me, since my last truck was a tuned up 12 valve Cummins. I do plan on maybe next year putting a 12 valve Cummins in this Cruiser. Anybody want a great engine, tranny, t-case with only 166k miles on it all?
Thanks guys! I can't afford a lift for a few years, trying to buy a house by the end of the year into next year. The tires I have on now, do ok for wheelin, but they do not have a 3 ply side wall. I think I will get the 275/33 inch tires for now.
I want to possibly run 35 inch tires with out a lift, some say it can be done.
I will be using an aftermarket wheel.
If you have done it, post a picture if you want to.
NICE Cruiser! I would have loved to check out your Cruiser in person when you were in Co. Springs. I just bought my first 80 for the family, gave up my two 12 valve Cummins Dodge trucks and now driving the 80. I wish I could do a swap like this legally here in Denver someday.
I would be using a dana60 and dana70 axles no matter want chassis I was running.
I have done an engine swap years ago. Ramjet 350 into a FJ40, NV4500 trans, Atlas case with a dana60 front dana70 rear. This build cost me around $30k with me doing all the fab work. I might just sell my 98' Dodge...
