    I was able to get it out with the regular extractors - thanks for the help. Also snapped two hub studs and tie rods were jacked so went ahead and replaced those as well. The 80 is back up and running better than ever. Can’t wait to get on the trail!

    I think it matters why the bolt snapped to begin with. I've had a few broken studs that broke from being over-stressed, over-torqued, etc. The came out easy with whatever was able to get a grip on them. But I've had some that broke because...

    We are all good here. Had to work out of town at our Northern Colorado Hospitals for the last 6 weeks but look last week off. Have gotten LC out a couple of times to go fishing and been working in the Garden.

    Here is the canister that I have. I can pull the hoses off and/or make additional photos/take measurements if needed. I did a quick search "how to test" but didn't find the procedure (I dont have a FJ40 FSM).

    i think the biggest thing was to stay local, dont go out and try something "new" dont push your limits, basically make sure your not putting yourself in a situation where you will need additional resources, like search and rescue or medical help...

    Haven't posted on this project for awhile - progress slowed for awhile when the robotics team was consuming 25+ hours week. But stuff was still getting done - shifters are sorted out (I think), as is the throttle pedal and ECU & TAC module...

    Yep - I have a little harbor freight 7x10 metal lathe that I picked up on CL a few years ago.

    Slow progress. Got the engine wiring harness installed. Working on a bracket for the ECU. Engine mounts are welded up and painted. And finished an adapter for the oil pressure sensor.
