Got it powder coated. Decided on cream white to match the top, bezel and TOYOTA on tail gate. What do you all think?
Found a great place with huge oven and they quoted me $400 and charged me only $300. They even lifted it off and put it back on the truck.
Now waiting for fabric top.
I bought my 1979 HJ45 from this dealer about a year ago. Australian RHD. I could not get any background other than it was restored to fund a mission trip. The dealer did replace a clutch slave cylinder two days before I came to test drive it. And he did promptly refund a $400 mistake in payment-...
New custom steel rack for soft top over bed , new winch with custom mounting plate, new Rigid lights all for HJ45. Rebuilt knuckles on both 40 & 45. Had caked up mud removed from inside of 45 frame hollow. Tightened steering on 40. Backed both into Land Cruiser Only parking.
Just saw that one a few weeks ago. Barney fell head over heels. It broke down on the first ride. Andy tracked her down and discovered it was a ring of mobsters stealing cars off the street and selling them - with her at helm.
I plan on the same color as the truck. I removed and saved the headache rack and had the fabricator match the design. I just got another quote from a place 15 min away from the other one. He quoted only $250.
Just had a bed bow rack fabricated. Should be strong enough as a roll bar and to carry accessories with a Molle board. Entire rack needs powder coating and can be easily removed.
Tell me your thoughts.
Waiting on soft top canopy cover to be made.
