Projecting, tinkering, fiddle-farting around: whatcha building?

This allows us to turn off the flow when we have to do maintenance to the MH station. With the new 6" ball valve we can regulated the amount of power...

    Shop Build. Finally Broke Ground.

Not sure what the cost of your utility company will charge for the electrical service but, Think you get a fair bit more sunshine than we do here in BC. The cost to install an off grid system capable of doing what you may need might be less than the cost of the utility company service and then...

My off grid set up on the Island is as follows. Using 8 PV 320W panels, which is enough for us while we are still building. Bought 36 panels as I was going to overpanel my set up due the weather/lack of sunshine. We are just north of Seattle in Vancouver area. Using 6 Tesla S batteries and have...

Oil Soaked Rags - Spontaneous Combustion

On one of my projects in 97 the hardwood flooring guy stained the oak flooring on a Friday afternoon. Saturday morning my oldest son and I went by to check up and see how the floors turned out. At the front entry of the house a plastic 5 gallon bucket and melted and lit on fire overnight. My...

Several companies make really good grinder shrouds for various size grinders. We have 4.5 and a 7 inch shrouds for our grinders. The smaller grinder has variable speed. Very helpful. Using a Rigid vacuum with the shrouds which makes concrete grinding almost dustless. We use diamond discs as...

    Okie dream man cave!

Check if the hinges are NRP = Non Removable Pins. The hinges when the leaves are open should have a small set screw so that the pins/allen set screw are locked into the hinge. This makes the hinge non removable. Also ensure that the hinge screws get replaced with 3" screws into the jamb and...
