Thanks Dave... as with a lot of these, there are several mods that are less than ideal. Open Country did a great job of getting most of the bugs worked out and running reliably. I hope to swap to a stock carb or maybe even a sniper or something...

If anyone really wants to buy a set of these wheels (or any other large parts) and doesn’t want to take their chance in the raffle, let me know asap and I can bring more. Save on shipping ! :)
In stock configuration that manifold port had a three-pronged vacuum doodad Mr. T called a gas filter. Definitely keep that port plugged. Otherwise its a huge vacuum leak.
Got back towards savannah and heard quite the bearing whinning noise from the transmission/transfer case, limped it back and pulled it apart the next weekend to figure out what was up, pulling the transmission in the barracks parking lot was not...

We've nudged past 140 Drivers and over 95 Passengers & kids so far and are expecting more registrations on site! This will be the largest Carolina Relic Run so far! Thanks to all who registered early. Looking forward to seeing everybody next...
I think you'll have to cut both sides, effectively turning the pins into three separate pieces in order to drop the spring out from the frame side mounts. A sawzall works fine for this as well. I don't believe a die grinder is going to be as...
I'd like to mention something here, while you have the paint gun out and might help others make a decision. I know stock paint jobs do not have the door jams painted body color (where the green comes across the doors), but you sure can see the...
Finally have something to show!
The Fly By Night “Power Tray” prototype is together and wired.
This has been quite the road getting this thing lined out. I’m fairly happy with how it turned out, and am thinking about just running it after it’s...
You won't like what I'm going to say but the best method to machine these things flat is to loosen the assembly, put new gaskets in, leave the 3 mounting bolts very loose, then clean the mounting surfaces to head and bolt down tight without...
